The information we collect depends on the products you use, the environment in which you interact with us, the choices you make, and the features you use. This official website provides you with account registration/login, product content browsing, order information inquiry, user experience improvement services, online customer service, user feedback, service outlets, warranty inquiry, repair application, and event participation services. You have the right to choose whether or not to provide the information we have requested. But for basic functions and services, if you do not provide your personal information, we may not be able to provide you with realme official website services or respond to or resolve your queries. For additional functions or services, you may choose whether or not to agree to our collection of your personal information. If you do not agree, the required additional functions or services may not be available to you. This, however, does not affect your use of basic functions or services. At the same time, please note that the aforementioned service content varies depending on the region you are in, and some service content is only available in specific regions.
Please note that we usually consider the region that you select during your initial sign-in (or that you select subsequently through “Settings”) as the actual place where the services are used and the jurisdiction whose laws and regulations we comply with, including those relating to data protection.
- We may collect the following types of information:
(1) Account sign-up and sign-in
You can choose to use the realme official website by registering or logging in to your HeyTap Account, which is provided by HEYTAP PTE. LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “HeyTap”). If you need to register/log in to your HeyTap Account, HeyTap needs to collect your mobile phone number or email address, account password, and registration SMS content in order to register an account for you and assist you in logging in and using related services. After you complete the account registration, you can also choose whether to provide a username/nickname, avatar, or gender information to further improve your account. Please read the “HeyTap Account Privacy Policy” for more details. We may provide you with notifications, surveys, and event push services through the mobile phone number or email address linked to your HeyTap Account. You may need to send us an SMS message to verify your phone number, which may incur carrier costs.
(2) Product content browsing

The above information is necessary personal information to participate in the event (if the event does not involve the distribution of physical prizes, we will not collect the delivery address), and refusal to provide this information will make you unable to participate in the event. In special circumstances, such as the distribution of prizes, you may be required to provide us with your identification and bank account details (we generally do not collect such information). When you check in or attend an event, we may need access to your photo album media files so that you can send images or video files for check-in or to participate in the events.

We will use GPS technology to obtain your precise geographic location. Your location information will be deleted immediately after the map of the Service Centers is displayed, and we will not upload the above information to our servers. If you refuse to provide this information, we will display the system’s default location on the Service Center map, and you will not be able to obtain information about the Service Centers near you, nor will you be able to query the distance between the Service Centers and your location. If you do not want to use this feature, you can turn off location permissions in “Settings – Location.”

After the expiry of the aforementioned retention periods, we will delete or anonymize your personal information.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use and disclosure of your personal information, the purposes for which we process the personal information, and the applicable legal requirements.

We attach great importance to personal information security. We take reasonably practical and technical measures to protect the information we collect in connection with our services. We have used industry-standard security measures to protect the personal information you provide to prevent unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage, or loss of data. We take all reasonably practical measures to protect your personal information. In particular:
(1) We use mainstream security technologies such as SSL or TLS to encrypt many of our services. We regularly review practices regarding information collection, storage, and possessing (including physical security measures) to prevent unauthorized access or system tampering.
(2) Subject to relevant regulations, we have appointed a person in charge of personal information protection and set up a personal information protection task force. We have also established internal control processes to ensure compliance with the principle of least privilege. We strictly control access to personal information and only grant access permissions to our employees and the personnel of an authorized service provider, both of whom need to access personal information in order to help us process such information. The aforementioned employees and personnel are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations. If they fail to perform these obligations, they may be held legally liable or be terminated. (3) The security of your information is extremely important to us. Therefore, we endeavor to ensure the security of your personal information and implement safeguards such as full security encryption throughout storage and transmission to prevent your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. At the same time, no one can access the specific content of certain encrypted data except the users themselves.
(4) When transmitting and storing special categories of personal information, we will use security measures such as encryption. When storing your personal biometric information, we will take technical measures to process it, such as only storing a summary of your personal biometric information.

We may reject requests that are manifestly unfounded, unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (for instance, requiring the development of new systems or fundamental changes to current practices), pose risks to the legitimate rights and interests of others, or are highly impractical. The reasons for this may be specified to you in our response. In addition, we may not respond to your request if laws or administrative rules specify that the data mentioned in your request must be kept confidential or does not need to be disclosed, or if your request would hinder government departments from performing their statutory duties, directly involves any issues that directly concern public interests such as national security, national defense, public health, and criminal investigations, or may result in serious damage to your legitimate rights and interests or those of any other individual or organization.
