Problem phenomenon:
Unable to make a video call by the dialer. Some video is not showing, black screen on the video.
Direct video call by dialer conditions:
Direct video calls by dialer need to support VoLTE and enable mobile data. Both sides of the call need to use VoLTE to be able to use high-definition voice and video calls.
Causes:
1. The phone doesn’t enable the VoLTE service or the VoLTE function for video calls.
2. There is no VoLTE network in the area where the video call is made.
3. The phone does not enable mobile data.
4. For some operators like JIO, if you have consumed your quota of high-speed internet, your video call will get converted into a voice call by default.
5. Some operators do not support other operators' video calls. Like JIO, the called party is a Non-JIO number, then video calls to other network is currently not supported.
6. Direct video calls by dialer need to support VoLTE and enable mobile data. Both sides of the call need to use VoLTE to be able to use high-definition voice and video calls.
7. If the phone signal is weak, it will also cause the video call to fail.
Solution:
It is recommended that you follow the below steps to troubleshoot:
1. All realme phones support VoLTE. Please get in touch with your operator to make sure you have enabled the VoLTE service and make sure you have turned on this function.
realme UI 3.0 & above versions: Settings > Mobile network > Sim Card 1/ Sim Card 2 > VoLTE calls.
realme UI 2.0 & 1.0: Settings > Sim Card & Mobile data > Sim Card 1/ Sim Card 2 > VoLTE calls.
realme UI R & Go & S & T Edition: Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network > Sim Card 1/ Sim Card 2 > VoLTE.
2. Contact your operator to make sure your area and also the one on which you will be making the video call has covered the VoLTE network.
3. Make sure you and also the one on which you will be making the video call have turned on the mobile data.
4. Contact the operator to recharge it.
5. Change other contacts who use the same operator as you to try again.
6. Check if the one on which you will be making the video call supports VoLTE and enable the service.
7. Make a video call in a place with a good phone signal to try again.
If the above methods do not solve your problem, please back up your data in advance and go to the nearest realme Service Center with your purchase certificate for testing.
