We always say that screen mirroring and screen casting are the same things. In fact, there are several differences.
What are Screen Mirroring and Screencasting？
Screen Mirroring Wireless Display
Screen mirroring acts just like when you look in a mirror. When you move, the reflection in the mirror does the same. With screen mirroring, whatever you see on one device is exactly what you see happening on the other.
Screen Casting Wireless Display
Screen casting is similar to mirroring except that you cast the content onto another screen display and you will no longer see it on both devices. For example, if you cast content from your phone to your TV, you will only see it on your TV.

For screen mirroring, if you exit the video playback interface and let it run in the background, the TV will not continue to play the video, just like you do on your phone, exit the video interface, and the video app will run in the background.
For screencasting, you can play the video on the TV when exiting the video player and let it run in the background on your phone. In other words, while watching videos on the big screen, you can use your mobile phone to do anything you like, such as playing games, chatting, shopping and etc.
Please note, if you exit the video player from the background and completely close it, the video will also stop playback and exit the screen casting mode on the TV.
If you want to share pictures, videos, music and other local media files to the realme Smart TV, Screen casting can’t support it. It is suggested to use screen mirroring.
realme Smart TV already has Chromecast built-in, how do we mirror and cast the screen?
For Screen mirroring, it is suggested to use Google Home App
For Screen casting, you can use Mobile APPs which support Chrome cast, such as YouTube, NETFLIX, etc.
Note:
1. It isn't applicable for realme Smart TV NEO 32".
2. There are many protocols or third-party apps that support screencasting/screen-mirroring, you can choose according to your needs.
