Touchscreen is not working or no response when touching my realme devices

I. Problem phenomenon:

1. No response when touching the screen, insensitive touchscreen, or the device operating automatically occurs in all scenarios such as when using some apps.

2. The touchscreen is not sensitive while playing games.

Note: If the screen freezes or the response is slow when using the phone or third-party apps, please refer to Phone hangs when using third-party apps.


II. No response when touching the screen, insensitive touchscreen, or the device operating automatically in all scenarios.

Causes:

1. When there is dirt or water on the fingers or the screen, it may cause no response, ghost touching, or insensitivity.

2. The non-original screen film may not apply to the phone screen. So using it may result in no response, ghost touching, or insensitivity when touching the screen.

3. The non-original screen may not apply to the phone. So using it may result in the touch screen not working or ghost touching.

4. If you use non-standard chargers and data cables for charging, it may cause the touch screen unresponsive, ghost-touching, or insensitive when using the phone.


Solutions:

It is recommended that you follow the below steps to troubleshoot: 

1. Keep your fingers clean and dry, and wipe the phone screen clean before using the phone.

2. Remove the film or use realme film.

3. Back up your data and go to realme service center for testing.

4. Use the realme standard charger to charge the phone.


III. Touch screen is not sensitive when playing games

Causes:

1. The game buttons are too small or close to the screen edge. Or the two buttons are too close. These will affect the button operation and cause the touch screen to be not sensitive.

2. When using the mobile network, the data will be interrupted when receiving text messages or calls, and the game will be temporarily disconnected. When the mobile or Wi-Fi network is unstable, there will be network delay, which will cause the disconnection of games. These phenomena will be like that touch screen is insensitive.

3. When the game FPS is high, the phone will heat up, which will trigger the temperature control of the phone system to reduce the performance, and it may cause the touch screen not to be sensitive.

4. Under power saving mode or low battery situation, the performance of the phone will be reduced to save power, which may affect the touch operation.

5. Phone system version and game version are too outdated.


Solutions:

1. If possible, we recommend that you adjust the button to the middle of the screen and button the cursor size.

Path: Game app > Settings > Layout Settings > Custom Layout > Adjust the buttons to the appropriate position.

2. Use a stable Wi-Fi network or go to a place with a better signal when playing the game.

Add the game to Game Space/Games. Game Space/Games is optimized for the game, which helps to improve network stability. And Turn on the Smart dual-channel network to reduce latency.

realme UI 1.0 & above versions: Game Space/Games > Smart Dual-Channel Network > Enable.

realme UI R & Go & S & T & U Edition: Not supported

3. Adjust the game picture quality.

Game app > Settings > Basic Settings > Picture Settings > Adjust the game picture quality and resolution.

Note: The above operations will have a certain impact on your game experience, please adjust the settings carefully. When the phone is heating, it is recommended that you wait for the temperature drops before playing.

4. Turn off the power-saving mode. If the power of the phone is low, please charge it in time.

realme UI 1.0 & above versions: Settings  > Battery > Power saving mode 

realme UI R & Go & S & T & U Edition: Settings  > Battery > Power saver

5. Update your phone system version and game version to the latest.

 

If the above methods do not solve your problem, please back up your data and go to the nearest realme service center for testing.
