Problem causes:
1. App notification is not turned on in the phone notification settings, or notification is not turned on in the third-party app.
2. The conditions for receiving notifications on the phone are not met, the mobile data and Wi-Fi are disabled in the application, the application is not running in the background, and the battery is in power-saving mode. These settings will affect the receipt of third-party application notifications.
3. The application or system is running abnormally and the message cannot be received.
Solution:
1. If you cannot receive third-party app notifications, you need to check whether the app notification is turned on.
1.1 The phone supports four notification types: notification bar, lock screen notification, banner notification, and badge, as well as ringtone and vibration response when the notification is received. Please confirm whether to enable the corresponding notification method.
realme UI 3.0 & 4.0 & 5.0: Settings > Notification & Status Bar > App notifications, click the app to enter the notification settings details, and enable specific functions such as allowing notifications, lock screen, banner, ringtone, and vibration.
realme UI 1.0 & 2.0: Settings > Notification & Status Bar > Manage notifications, click the app to enter the notification settings details, and enable specific functions such as allowing notifications, lock screen, banner, ringtone, and vibration.
realme UI R & Go & S & T edition: Settings > Notifications > App settings, click the app to enter the notification settings details and enable notifications.
Note: If there is no reminder after the ringtone and vibration are turned on, please do not set the notification ringtone to None in Settings > Sounds & Vibration, and enable the Vibrate on the ring.
1.2 Some third-party applications can set their own notification switches. It is recommended that you find the corresponding switch in the application settings to confirm that it is turned on.
2. Please check whether there are restrictions on the network, application permissions, and battery performance. When the conditions for receiving notifications on the phone are not met, it will affect receiving notifications from third-party applications.
2.1 When data saving is enabled, new messages cannot be received if applications such as mail, instant messaging, and social networking are running in the background. It is recommended that you turn it off. Please click Settings > Mobile network > Data usage > Data Saving to check whether it is enabled.
2.2 After the phone is turned off Auto launch and Associated launch, it will cause the app information to not be received.
realme UI 5.0 & 4.0 & 3.0: Settings > Apps > Auto launch/Associated launch > Click the corresponding application switch.
realme UI 1.0 & 2.0: Settings > App management > Auto launch and Associated launch > Click the corresponding application switch.
realme UI R & Go & S & T Edition: Settings > Battery > Auto launch management > App auto launch > Click the corresponding application switch.
2.3 After the power saving mode is turned on, the performance of the phone will be limited and the message reminder will be affected. Please go to Settings > Battery and turn off power saving mode.
2.4 After turning on DND, the phone will not be able to receive app notifications, please pull down the status bar to turn off DND.
2.5 Long press on the app > App info > Battery usage > Turn on Allow foreground activity and Allow background activity.
2.6 Please keep apps that need to keep pushing new messages running in the background. Enter the multitasking interface, click the more icon in the upper right corner of the app, and click Lock.
3. When the phone system or application is not compatible, it will also cause the inability to receive new message notifications.
3.1 It is recommended that you uninstall the app after backing up the app data, and download and install it again from the Play Store. If the app is running on already the latest version, enter the phone Settings > Software updates > click Check for updates. It is recommended to upgrade the phone system to the latest version in time.
3.2 Please try after resetting the system settings. To operate this function, the phone's settings will be restored to factory settings, but the data will not be cleared.
realme UI 3.0 and above versions: Settings > System/Additional Settings > Back up and reset > Reset Phone > Reset all settings
realme UI 1.0 & 2.0: Settings > Additional Settings > Backup & Reset > Erase all data(factory reset) > Reset system settings only
realme UI R & Go & S & T Edition: Settings > System > Reset options > Reset WiFi, mobile & Bluetooth.
If the above operations have been configured and the problem still persists, it is recommended that you back up important data in advance and go to the realme service center with the purchase certificate for testing.
