Nowadays, data consumption is too high because of short-term OTA updates. Google Play Store apps like Youtube, shopping apps, gaming apps, and dozens of other sites that stream content online are all consuming too much mobile data. Here are some tips for you to fix this issue.
1. You can stop updating Play Store apps by not connecting to any Wi-Fi or disabling them permanently with the below step.
Play Store > Click on the right top on your id > Setting > On Network preference you can change or stop the network preference for Auto-update apps.
2. The following steps can be used to disable any app that uses mobile data.
realme UI 3.0 & above versions: Settings > Mobile Network > Data usage > Network access > Select the app for Restrict Data usage.
realme UI 2.0 & 1.0: Settings > SIM card & mobile data > Data usage > Network permissions > Select the app for Restrict Data usage.
realme UI R & Go & T & S & U Edition: Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network > Network permissions > Select the app for Restrict Data usage.
3. To prevent high data usage, you can enable Data Saving mode
realme UI 3.0 & above versions: : Settings > Mobile network > Data usage> Data Saving.
realme UI 2.0 & 1.0: Settings > SIM card & mobile data> Data usage> Data saving
realme UI R & Go & T & S & U Edition: Settings > Network & internet > Data Saver
*Note: Data saving prevents apps from using mobile data in the background. If mail, instant messaging, social networking, and other apps are running in the background, you cannot receive new messages. For more information, please refer to Data saving.
4. Check the High data consumption app and restrict it by following these steps:
realme UI 4.0 & above versions: Settings > Mobile Network > Data usage > Network access > Select app > Disable Mobile data
realme UI 3.0: Settings > Mobile Network > Data usage > Mobile data Usage > Select app > Disable Mobile data
realme UI 2.0 & 1.0: Settings > SIM card & mobile data > Data usage > Mobile data Usage > Select app > Disable Mobile data
realme UI R & Go & T & S & U Edition: Settings > Network & internet >App data usage > Select app > Disable Mobile data
