Phone hangs and responds slowly

Causes:

1. Insufficient Memory and Storage: Limited RAM or storage space can lead to performance issues.

2. Overheating: Excessive heat can slow down the phone's responsiveness.

3. Low Battery: A depleted battery may affect the phone's performance.

4. Resource-Intensive Apps: Certain third-party applications can cause lag.

5. Poor Network Speed: Slow mobile network connections can contribute to delays.

6. Memory Card Issues: Insufficient space or a faulty memory card may slow performance.

7. Post-Upgrade Lag: System lag may occur after software updates.


Solution:

1. Clean the memory or storage space

Open Phone Manager, and clean it. Then restart your device and try again. Restarting will halt all apps being run and reduce the occurrence of freezing. 

2. Disable high-power consumption apps

Turn off apps that consume a lot of power, and maintain usage within the optimal temperature range (15℃–35℃).

3. Maintain sufficient battery life

Disable the power-saving mode to ensure your battery remains above 20%. Pull over the notification bar to disable Power saving mode. Or follow this path:

realme UI 1.0 & above versions: Settings > Battery > Power saving mode.

realme UI R & Go & S & T & U Edition: Settings > Battery > Power saver.

4. Uninstall conflicting Third-Party apps

Remove any third-party phone manager apps that may interfere with the built-in one, potentially causing lag.

5. Ensure a stable network connection.

Switch to a better cell network or adjust your location to improve mobile signal quality.

6. Check the memory card

6.1 Excessive files in the memory card may slow down read and write speeds. You can clear unnecessary files in the memory card, back up important data, and format the memory card. Also, if your device's default storage location is the memory card, please set the default location to internal storage and try again. 

6.2 The memory card may be faulty. If the device has prompted you that the memory card is faulty, replace the memory card at your earliest convenience. 

7. Post-Update Optimization

After an update, your device may experience lag as the system optimizes applications and resources, which is normal.

8. Upgrade the system version

Ensure you have the latest version for optimal performance.

9. Try resetting your phone after backing up your data
