While on a phone call, I cannot hear the other party's voice

Update Time: 2024-12-27 16:32:21

Problem causes:

1. When the phone call volume is adjusted or when Bluetooth is connected to another device, this may cause no sound during the call.

2. Other factors such as the receiver being blocked by a foreign object, poor signal, contacts and SIM card anomalies can also cause no sound during the call.

3. Phone system not upgraded in time.

Solutions:

1. If you cannot hear the other party’s voice during the call, you can check in the phone settings whether you have adjusted the call volume or the Bluetooth on your phone.

1.1 When talking in a noisy environment, if the call volume is too low will make you feel you can’t hear the voice. Therefore, when you make a call, try to press the volume up key to increase the call volume.

1.2 When the phone is connected to the Bluetooth earphone, you cannot hear the voice from the receiver. It is recommended that you check whether the phone's Bluetooth is mistakenly connected to other Bluetooth devices.

2. Other factors such as the receiver being blocked by a foreign object, poor signal, contacts, and SIM card anomalies can also cause no sound during the call.

2.1 Please check whether the protective case or the screen film is blocking the receiver. If the receiver is dirty or blocked, use a soft brush dipped in alcohol to clean them.

2.2 If the signal is unstable or the signal quality is poor, it will affect the call quality. Please refer to Weak phone signal to solve the issue.

2.3 If the other party accidentally touches the call mute or is in a place with a poor signal, it will also cause the sound to be inaudible. Please change another contact and try again.

2.4 A bad SIM card may cause abnormal calls. Therefore, it is recommended to change the SIM card and try again.

3. If the above steps do not work, please try to upgrade your system or reset your phone's system and network settings.

3.1 Please restart the phone.

3.2 Please go to Settings to upgrade the system.

3.3 Please restore the network settings and try again

realme UI 2.0 & above versions: Settings  > search "Reset network settings" in the search bar > Reset network settings.

realme UI R & Go & S & T & U Edition:  Settings  > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth.

Operating this function, the phone's settings will be restored to factory settings, but the data will not be cleared.

If the issue remains unresolved, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized realme Service Center for assistance.
