Function introduction
When you need to cast something from the smartphone to the monitor, you can use a type-c cable to connect the smartphone to the realme flat monitor to cast.
* USB-C DisplayPort or DP Alt Mode: Connect smartphones that support DisplayPort to each other via their USB-C ports to broadcast high-definition video.
* realme flat monitor also can support the Windows laptop, MacBook, Android Smartphone, and other devices which support DP video signal transmission.
The operation is not guaranteed. We tested some devices and found that they were compatible, but not all the devices were supported.
How to Cast?
The realme monitor will automatically identify the signal source after you connect the smartphone to the realme flat monitor.
If the realme monitor connects to another signal source or doesn’t automatically identify the signal source input through the Type-C port, you can follow these steps to switch signal sources.
Step 1: With the monitor turned on, press the multi-selector switch to the up/down/left/right.
Step 2. Select the Input Source menu item by pressing the multifunction switch up/down. Confirm the selection by pressing the multifunction switch to the right.
Step 3. Select the desired input and Type-C by pressing the multifunction switch up/down. Confirm the selection by pressing the multifunction switch to the right.
Note:
1. The Type C port of devices and the Type-C Cable must support DP video signal transmission to cast the screen to the TV.
2. The Type-C of devices and the Type-C Cable need to support USB 3.1, Thunderbolt 3 full-featured version, or higher version.
3. The main function of the monitor is to receive video signals and display them. In principle, if the external device and data cable can meet the video transmission requirements, the monitor will display the picture.
4. The Type-C cable used in daily life only supports general functions such as charging and USB data transmission, and it cannot meet the needs of DP video signal transmission.
5. If you want to know if the devices and the type-C cable that you purchased meet the requirements of DP video signal transmission, you can ask the corresponding merchant or network for help.
