Problem phenomenon:
Windows 10/11 software icons downloaded from the App Store are displayed on the start menu page but are not automatically generated to the desktop.
Solution:
Windows11/10:
Add App Icons to Desktop using Drag and Drop
1. Click the ‘Start’ button on the taskbar to open the Start menu. Then, click on the ‘All apps’ button at the top right corner of the Start menu.
2. Under All Apps, locate the application for which you want to make a desktop shortcut. Now, click on the app and drag it onto the desktop.
Now the application’s shortcut will appear on the Desktop.
If you cannot drag and drop to the desktop normally, please try the following solutions:
1. Right-click the application that needs to generate a desktop icon > Open file location;
2. Right-click the app icon and select Show more options > send to > Desktop(create shortcut).
