It may be because you have turned on the automatic brightness. After turning it on, the phone will judge the current ambient light brightness according to the ambient light sensor on the top, and automatically adjust the screen brightness to make you feel more comfortable when using (when the ambient light sensor is blocked, the screen brightness will decrease), which is normal.
2. If the screen brightness automatically brightens/dims when you turn on and exit the app, it may be because:
The app itself adjusts the screen brightness. The permission to adjust the system brightness is open to third-party apps, and some apps (such as video players, readers, payment apps, etc.) can manage the brightness. For example, when apps scan the QR code, the screen turns bright instantly, which is a normal phenomenon.
In order to reduce the power consumption of the phone, the system appropriately reduces the brightness for some app scenarios, bringing a better comprehensive experience of display and power consumption. For example, when you turn on browser, contacts, SMS and other apps, even if you turn off automatic brightness adjustment, the brightness will be adjusted automatically. Please troubleshoot as follows:
1. Please turn off the automatic adjustment switch and turn it on again. If you manually drag the brightness bar in the automatic adjustment mode, the system will record the dragged position as a preference. When the ambient light changes, When the ambient light changes, the brightness is compensated according to your preference, so the screen brightness will be close to the brightness you manually adjusted;
If you want the screen brightness to remain the same when using your phone, please go to Settings > Display & brightness > Turn off the automatic brightness adjustment switch, and manually adjust the screen brightness to the brightness you need.
2. Please confirm whether you have adjusted the brightness in third-party apps (video, browser, etc.), it is recommended that you exit the third-party app and try again. After adjusting the brightness in a third-party app, the brightness control permission will be temporarily acquired by the third-party app.
3. Please make sure that the phone is clean, and clean the sensor on the top of the phone to prevent the light sensor from being dirty.

Please troubleshoot as follows:
1. Check whether the ambient light sensor position on the phone is blocked by film or foreign objects.
2. In a dim environment or a single light source environment, the ambient brightness recognized by the phone is relatively low, so the system brightness adjustment is relatively dim. It is recommended that you manually adjust the brightness to an appropriate brightness.
3. Check the ambient light sensor (Phone Manager performs diagnosis). If there is any abnormality in the sensor, please back up important data and go to the realme customer service center with the purchase certificate for maintenance.
IV. Turn off the automatic brightness adjustment, the brightness of the mobile phone screen will automatically change in a strong light environment
