Phone OTA upgrade failed

Please first confirm that the upgrade failure is not caused by the following actions:

1. Make sure your phone is not rooted. After the phone is rooted, it may not be able to search for the upgrade package or the online upgrade may fail. If it is rooted, it is recommended that you take your phone to the realme customer service center and professional technicians will handle it for you.

2. Before upgrading, please ensure that the phone has sufficient power. It is recommended that the phone battery be kept above 50% before upgrading.

3. If your phone supports SD card expansion, please confirm whether the SD card is installed in the phone. If it is installed, please remove the SD card and try again. The incompatibility of the phone with some brands or formats of SD cards may cause the upgrade to fail.

4. Please confirm that the phone memory or SD card space is sufficient before downloading the upgrade package. It is recommended that you clear the phone memory or SD card to have enough storage before upgrading.

5. Please do not artificially interrupt the phone upgrade, such as long pressing the power button for more than 10 seconds.

6. Please confirm whether the power button, volume up and down buttons of the phone are in normal contact, whether there is a problem that the button cannot be bounced up (depressed) after pressing or whether the phone has a problem of water ingress. If present:

    a. It may cause the phone to enter the forced upgrade interface, prompting "Upgrade failed", or enter the Recovery interface after booting. (At this time, it just abnormally enters the phone upgrade interface, not the real phone upgrade problem. It is recommended that you click to restart the device to try to restore firstly.)

    b. If you still cannot enter the system desktop, please back up important data in advance, and bring the purchase certificate to the realme customer service center for testing and processing.


System update: download upgrade package failed

Problem: During the process of downloading the upgrade package, the progress bar is stuck for a long time, or "download failed", "installation package verification failed", "server is temporarily unavailable, please try again later", "installation package analysis" failed" etc.

Cause: It may be that the current network is unstable or network restrictions cause the upgrade package to fail to download, the download time is too long, or the downloaded upgrade package is incomplete.

Solution

  1. Go to settings, search for App management, click the 3 small dots in the upper right corner to show system programs, find the System updates and Software update in the app list, click Storage usage> Clear data/cache, and then restart the phone, if the network environment is good. Please try to download the upgrade package again.

   2. If you still can't download it, it is recommended that you back up your data, restore your phone to factory settings, and try again.

   3. Please try to manually update the installation package.

If the above methods do not solve your problem, please back up important data in advance, and bring the purchase certificate to the realme customer service center for testing and processing.


The installation of the upgrade package fails, and the old version is still used after restarting

Problem: The phone upgrade package is downloaded successfully, click to upgrade, and the phone is still the old version after restarting, which may be caused by an unstable network during the process of downloading the upgrade package, and the complete upgrade package has not been downloaded.

Solution:

1. Go to settings, search for Software update, and then click check for updates to re-detect and install the new version.

2. Go to settings, search for App management, click the 3 small dots in the upper right corner to show system programs, find the System updates and Software update in the application list, click Storage usage> Clear data/cache, and then restart the phone, if the network environment is good. Please try to download the upgrade package again.

3. Please try to manually update the installation package.


The upgrade package installation failed, the phone cannot be turned on

Problem: The phone upgrade package is downloaded successfully, and click to upgrade. The phone is turned off during the upgrade process and cannot be turned on.

Solution: Please bring the purchase certificate to the realme customer service center for testing and processing.
