When the personal hotspot is turned on, the phone will transmit the signal while receiving the signal so that, other phones can connect to the hotspot. The phone undertakes the tasks of receiving and transmitting at the same time, the data throughput is large and the Modem works under high load, which is easy to cause the phone to heat up. Therefore, it is normal for the phone to heat up after the hotspot is turned on.
The use of hotspot is a high power consumption scenario. If it is combined with other heating factors, it may lead to obvious heating. Please check whether the following scenarios exist.
1. Use other high-power apps at the same time
Solution: After the hotspot is turned on, the heat will be more obvious when using the phone to play games or watch videos at the same time. It is recommended that you try not to use high-power applications after turning on the hotspot or place the phone in a place that is easy to dissipate heat.
2. Turn on the hotspot and charge the phone at the same time
Solutions: Charging will increase the heat generation of the phone and it is recommended that you do not use the hotspot while charging.
3. Put the phone in poor heat dissipation place
Solutions: After turning on the hotspot, it is recommended that you try not to put the phone in a closed space such as a backpack or pocket, which is not conducive to the heat dissipation of the phone and causes the phone to overheat seriously.
4. Phone is connected by multiple devices at the same time
Solutions: When there are multiple devices connected to the hotspot, it will increase the consumption of the phone and increase the heat. You can adjust the maximum number of connected devices through the settings or add unknown connected devices to the blocklist.
Operation steps: pull down the notification bar > long press the personal hotspot > Connection management, add devices that do not need to be connected to the blacklist or set the maximum number of connected devices.
If the above troubleshooting solution does not solve your problem, please check the following scenarios (the following scenarios are less likely to cause abnormal heat)
1. Turn on the hotspot in areas with poor signal
Solutions: After turning on the hotspot, please place the phone in a stable signal area to avoid increasing power consumption. The network problems may cause the mobile phone to heat up.
2. Forgot to turn off the hotspot after turning it on
Solutions: If the hotspot has not been used for a long time, it is recommended that you turn it off in time. You can also set the hotspot to automatically turn off to reduce the heat caused by turning on the hotspot for a long time.
Operation steps: pull down the notification bar > long press the personal hotspot > turn on the timeout and automatically turn off.
