The realme phones adopt a low-voltage and high-current direct charging solution. At a lower voltage, the current is directly input into the battery of the phone from the charger end, eliminating the process of high and low voltage conversion inside the phone thereby, improving efficiency and reducing heat generation. At the same time, when the current enters the adapter, the sensor in it will detect the voltage and current in real-time. When the detection is safe and reliable, the protection switch will automatically turn on the flash charge and it will turn off immediately when it is abnormal, providing you with a fast and safe charging experience.
However, due to differences in charging specifications or charging protocols, when you use the unofficial standard charger or data cable the following problems may happen:
1. The charging speed may become slower
Because the unofficial standard charging equipment is not designed according to your model, the charging power may not reach the maximum power supported by your phone; or other brands of chargers do not support realme's fast charging protocol and cannot achieve fast charging, resulting in charging slow down. For example, the maximum charging power supported by realme GT is 65W (10V/6.5A). If you use a 5V 2A charger or a charger that does not support the realme fast charging protocol, the effect of 65W fast charging will not be achieved.
2. Irregular products bring security risks
The charging equipment of regular manufacturers is subject to strict quality control and safety is guaranteed. Some chargers produced by irregular manufacturers can also charge phones, but there may be high-security risks in long-term use such as: affecting the service life of battery, abnormal charging and other problems.
Therefore, it is recommended that you use the official standard charger and data cable to charge for a faster and safer charging experience.
