Battery drainage in normal use

If your phone is draining battery quickly during normal use, here are some common reasons and solutions you can try:

Reasons for Fast Battery Drain:

1. Background Apps: Apps running in the background can consume battery life.

2. Location Services: GPS and location-based services can significantly drain battery.

3. Screen Brightness: High screen brightness or a long screen-on time can lead to faster battery drain.

4. Outdated Software: Running outdated operating system or app versions can lead to inefficiencies.

5. Push Notifications: Frequent notifications can wake the phone and consume battery.

6. Connectivity Features: Features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and mobile data may be draining the battery if left on all the time.

7. Widgets and Live Wallpapers: These can continuously run and drain your battery.

Solutions:

1. Limit Background Activity: Go to your phone's settings to see which apps are consuming the most power. Close unused apps or restrict background activity for apps that don’t need it.

2. Adjust Location Settings: Disable location services or set them to use battery-saving mode.

3. Lower Screen Brightness: Reduce screen brightness and set a shorter screen timeout.

4. Update Software: Ensure your operating system and all apps are up-to-date.

5. Disable Push Notifications: Turn off notifications for apps that are not essential by going to Settings > Notification and Status Bar > Manage Notifications.

6. Manage Connectivity: Turn off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and mobile data when not in use.  If your phone supports Air gesturewe recommend that you turn it off in time. When you turn on the air gesture, the phone will constantly turn on the detection gesture to ensure the normal operation of the function, which will slightly increase the battery consumption.

7. Minimize Widgets and Live Wallpapers: Use static wallpapers and limit the number of home screen widgets.

Additional Tips:

  • Power Saving Mode: Enable Power saving mode.
