New Delhi, July 30, 2021: realme, the world’s fastest-growing smartphone brand, has just been named by Counterpoint's Q2 2021 market analysis report as the Top 5G smartphone brand with a 23% share in Q2 2021 in India. realme led the market in 5G smartphone shipment and has also became the fastest brand to reach 50 million cumulative smartphone shipments in India. In addition to this achievement, realme also grew a massive 140% Y-o-Y in Q2 2021 and captured the fourth position in the Indian smartphone market, gaining momentum.
As one of the first adopters of the 5G technology in India, realme is country’s first brand to launch India’s first 5G smartphone – the flagship realme X50 Pro 5G, the brand now also became the leading 5G smartphone brand in India. This latest achievement highlights realme’s commitment to 5G in the Indian market to bring the 5G technology to more users in India and worldwide. Staying true to the commitment, as India's 5G leader, realme will be launching at least three new 5G devices before Diwali and will also launch 5G smartphones in the premium segment with flagship features, disrupting the premium market.
