Phone keeps switching between vibration, ring and silent mode

Update Time: 2024-09-27 11:02:09

Problem phenomenon:

When the user places the phone to silent/vibrate or ring, it switches to another mode automatically.

It's frustrating when your phone randomly switches between vibrate, ring, and silent mode. Here are some common culprits:

Potential Causes:

  • Software Glitch: A temporary bug in your phone's operating system might be causing this issue.

  • Physical Button Issues: The volume or power button might malfunction.

  • Phone Case Interference: Your phone case might accidentally trigger the silent mode switch.

  • Third-Party Apps: Some apps could interfere with your phone's audio settings.

  • Do Not Disturb Mode: This feature might be activating unexpectedly.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Restart Your Phone: A simple restart can often resolve temporary glitches.

2. Check Physical Buttons: Please run diagnostics to check whether the buttons working or not.

realme UI 3.0 & above versions: Phone Manager > Click on Tool at the Bottom right side of the screen/Tap on 3 dots on top right corner > Diagnostics > Select the Buttons test and unselect the rest test if no any other issue > Run Diagnostics.

realme UI 2.0: Phone Manager > Diagnostics > Continue > Select the Buttons test and unselect the rest test if no any other issue > Run Diagnostics.

realme UI 1.0: Phone Manager > Quick Check start check > Select the Buttons test and unselect the rest test if no any other issue > Run Diagnostics.

realme UI R & T & S & Go & U Edition: Not supported

Ensure the volume and power buttons are functioning correctly. If not, go to SC for testing.

3. Remove Phone Case: Try using your phone without the case to see if it makes a difference.

4. Disable Do Not Disturb Mode: Make sure Do Not Disturb is turned off.

5. Check for Updates: Update your phone's operating system to the latest version.

6. Disable Unnecessary Apps: Temporarily disable apps that might be interfering with audio settings.

7. Factory Reset (Last Resort): If nothing else works, you can try a factory reset, but remember to back up your data first.

  • If the above methods do not solve your problem, please back up your data and visit the nearest authorized realme service center for testing.
