What should I do if the 5G signal is poor

Update Time: 2025-01-22 14:32:35

Compared with 4G, the transmission distance and range of 5G signals are slightly worse, and the coverage radius of base stations is smaller. For the same coverage area, more base stations need to be built, and infrastructure construction and coverage will take a long time.

It is recommended that you connect operators to check the 5G network coverage in your city. Here's what you can do:

Check your Location: Move to an area with better 5G coverage. Signal strength can vary depending on your location, so try going to a spot with stronger signal.

Restart Your Device: Sometimes, simply turning your device off and on can help refresh its connection to the network.

Toggle Airplane Mode: Turning on and off the airplane mode on your device can also help reset your connection to the network.

Update Your Device: Please make sure your phone or device has the latest software updates. Sometimes, updates can include improvements for connectivity.

Check for Network Outages: The 5G network in your area may be experiencing issues. You can check with your mobile carrier for any reported outages or issues.

Adjust Network Settings: Go to your device's network settings and ensure that it is set to use 5G if available. Sometimes, devices may default to 4G or 3G if the 5G signal is weak.

5G turn on method:

realme UI 3.0 & above versions: Settings > Mobile network > Click the corresponding SIM card > Turn on 5G.

realme UI 2.0: Settings > SIM card & mobile data > Click the corresponding SIM card > Turn on 5G.
